the caves "arming" themselves with dozens of trained hounds which had to lead them
to the heart of the refuge of the Cathar fugitives. Everything was very simple. They just
had to wait a little. It was nothing compared to the siege of Montsegur.

The caves accepted the Cathars, folding them in their dark moist embrace... The
life of the fugitives became difficult and lonely; it was rather, simply survival...
However there still were a lot of people who helped them. The Cathars still lived in

others under the protection of local seigniors. Only now they did not gather openly,
trying to be more careful, because the Pope’s bloodhounds had no rest wishing by all
means to exterminate this Occitan "heresy" which was still hiding all over the country...
