Organic molecules, especially DNA and RNA, create a channel between the physical
and etheric levels sufficient to permit the free flow of primary matters from the physical
to the etheric level (see F Fi ig g. .1 16 6, right).
But organic molecules, even with their new qualities (i.e., an etheric structure and the
circulation of primary matters), are not yet alive; they merely possess the conditions
necessary for the origin of life. We may speak of life only when a combination of
several organic molecules acquires another new quality — the ability to replicate.
