The phlegmatic type of psyche differs from the sanguine in that his astral body
is composed only of primary matter G, though he also displays dominance of the
etheric body (see Fig. 52).

This type of spiritual structure is passive and lacks creativity or leadership
ability, but excels at getting things done.

Creative abilities can manifest only when there is a fully developed astral body,
composed of matters G and F. A complete astral body opens the qualitative barrier
between the astral and first mental spheres, which leads to activation and potential for
